Though GARDENING, NOT ARCHITECTURE began as just a simple recording project for music industry entrepreneur SARAH SATURDAY, the excitement and digital success of THE FIRST EP has fueled the band's first-ever tour, launching March 10 in North Hollywood, California. The trek runs throughout the west coast including stops in Sacramento, Eugene, Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and others, wrapping in Barstow, California on March 29.

SATURDAY is the founder and creator of the EARN IT YOURSELF philosophy and all-new musician resource networking website EARNITYOURSELF.COM. The site follows the principles of the philosophy—independent artists building their own careers from the ground up and earning each of their own successes—to connect musicians and industry entrepreneurs across the globe. One of the site's features is a "Show Trades" section that allows artists to interact in booking shows and tours, which SARAH utilized exclusively to connect with venues and other bands in each city to build the GARDENING, NOT ARCHITECTURE tour.

SATURDAY recently became the first unsigned female artist to be endorsed by MACBETH SHOES and was the inspiration for "The Saturday" girls' shoe, which was part of Macbeth's 2008 Spring/Summer line.

To highlight SARAH SATURDAY’s arrival in each of the tour's cities, BUZZNET.COM and MACBETH SHOES have launched a special contest offering fans the opportunity the spend the day with Sarah for a behind-the-scenes look at EIY in action. Described as “The Evolution of D.I.Y.” in the July 2005 edition of Alternative Press Magazine, the EARN IT YOURSELF philosophy began as a print zine written and published by SARAH SATURDAY in 2004 after the break-up of her band SAVING FACE. The idea behind the movement is to teach bands how to use a philosophical approach to creating their business plan. With the music industry giants collapsing and the internet making it possible for anyone to start a band, it’s crucial that bands’ values should be just as important to fans as their music, all while the individuals strive to earn their own success and build their careers from the ground up. Since the year 2000, FLATFOOT 56 have steadily unleashed a rollicking barrage of Celtic punk and folk-tinged hardcore from the South Side of Chicago to an international audience with intense and positive party-like energy. The boys have relentlessly toured the world over both as openers and headliners, sealing their reputation as one of the most exciting, prolific, and energetic bands on the scene today. Currently, the band has begun the recording process for their highly anticipated new album, due out later this year.
